[TRAFFIC ALERT] Part of the N1 Southbound near Bela Bela closed following accident

POLOKWANE – Motorists travelling from Limpopo to Gauteng are advised that the part of the N1 Southbound between Mantsole and Bela Bela has been partially closed due to an accident in which two people were killed.

According to the spokesperson for the department, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, a Ford rear ended a Hyundai which was stationery due to mechanical problems. He says a possible cause for the accident is either fatigue or speeding and the driver of the bakkie and a passenger from the Hyundai were killed.

“At this point n time, the road is partially closed and traffic officials have opened a temporary road for free traffic flow. We are appealing to motorists to exercise patience as your travelling time will be affected,” he concluded.
