Repairs to Olifantspoort plant completed, says Muni

POLOKWANE – According to a statement released by the Polokwane Municipality, a notification was received that repairs to the Olifantspoort plant were completed on Wednesday night, 24 October and operations resumed.

This, after a planned shutdown was scheduled for a contractor to connect the Specon pipeline to a permanent pipeline and to remove temporary lines.

“Currently, Lepelle Nothern Water is busy with line filing and it will take a bit longer before water reaches all affected areas,” they explained.

Tankers will continue to provide water to residents in the meantime.
