In a statement released by UL, the university says they view these allegations seriously as they compromise the image of the university and they hinder the smooth process of quality teaching and learning.
“In our commitment to promote academic excellence, the lecturer has been placed on suspension pending the outcomes of investigations and all procedures and guidelines of the University Harassment Policy will be applied,” it read.
The university’s harassment policy strongly condemns any form of sexual harassment and any person who feels that she/he has been sexually harassed may lodge a complaint with the management of the university.
