LIMPOPO – Police in Letsitele, outside Tzaneen, have launched a massive manhunt for the suspects involved in the killing of three lions at a farm on Sunday, 26 August 2018.

According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the farm manager was patrolling the area when she noticed that the fence was cut. She went to the lion’s enclosure and discovered two carcasses with their heads and paws cut off. The third carcass was found in the same spot, with no missing parts.
“The method used during the killing of these animals is subject to the ongoing police investigations. The South African Police Service in Limpopo have strongly condemned the killings, saying those who are still perpetrating this crime category will be dealt with harshly and without compromise.
