Four suspects arrested in Seshego during Operation Ceasefire

LIMPOPO – In their relentless effort to eradicate incidents of trio crimes in the province, intelligence led operations such as operation “ceasefire” continue to yield positive results, says police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

“Four suspects were arrested during this operation which was conducted on Monday, 6 August in Seshego and Mmotong village. The suspects face charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and suspected stolen properties,” he explained.

The following items were recovered during the arrest:

– One 9mm pistol.
– One 38 special revolver.
– A Colt bakkie.
– Four 9mm live rounds.
– One 38 Special revolver round.
– Seven projectors, one tablet, one Acer remote control, four projector cables.
– Eight cellphones.

“The recovered 9 mm firearm was taken during a robbery at Radipitsi Secondary School in the Matlala policing area, outside Polokwane. The origin of all other recovered items is still being determined through ongoing police investigation,” Ngoepe concluded.
