LIMPOPO – According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, at around 01:30 on Sunday morning, 13 May, the deceased, was shot while seated next to the door at Ga-Morena Motel.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was armed with two pistols and tried to disarm the deceased and ran away after he was shot. After he realised that the police were closing in on him, he handed himself to the police with one pistol.”

As investigations continued, the suspect handed in the second pistol without ammunition and magazine.

“The motive for this killing is not clear as yet, but police investigations will reveal what is going on as the two are alleged to be relatives. The alleged rifle in contention was stolen from the local security company,” Mojapelo adds.

The suspect will appear before the Nebo Magistrates Court soon and will face a charge of murder.
