LIMPOPO – Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect and his 25-year-old wife were involved in a domestic dispute on Sunday night, 3 December.

“During this dispute, the suspect stabbed his wife several times with a sharp object and stabbed his children, aged three and five-years-old too, throughout their bodies, before fleeing the scene,” Ngoepe explains.
The victims were immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment but the five-year-old succumbed to the injuries.
Ngoepe says a manhunt was launched for the suspect and he was found hiding in a village outside Thohoyandou on Monday night, 4 December.
“The suspect, who is a parolee, sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in 2010 for murder, appeared before the Waterval Magistrate Court on Wednesday 6 December on charges of murder and attempted murder and his case was postponed to 29 January 2018,” Ngoepe concluded.
