Two escapees rearrested in Mpumalanga after jumping out of police van

LIMPOPO – The two escapees, Moses Ngwatle (39) and David Ramahlo (30) were re-arrested on Wednesday night in Matibidi, Mpumalanga.

“They were arrested by Burgersfort detectives through a tip-off from the community,” says police spokesperson Lt Col Moashe Ngoepe.

The two escapees were being escorted from the Burgersfort Regional Court to the Leboeng Police Station after they appeared for house breaking and theft cases.

“When the police car stopped at a robot in Burgersfort town, the two suspects, who were handcuffed, opened the door, jumped out and disappeared,” explains Ngoepe.

The circumstances around their escape is subject to police investigations.
