Eight suspects arrested in Lebowakgomo CIT heist remanded in custody

LIMPOPO – Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says the suspects are facing charges of armed robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition as well as possession of stolen motor vehicles.

The suspects were all remanded in custody until 8 August 2017 for a formal bail application.

The arrested suspects are as follows:

1. Khutso Masemola – 42-years-old
2. Mbengeni Dingo – 27-years-old
3. Prince Ndinisa – 27-years-old
4. Nicolas Mabaso – 34-years-old
5. Lekoko Kgatuke – 36-years-old
6. Jeffry Maphaki – 52-years-old
7. Oscar Molokoane – 34-years-old
8. Osiel Dladla – 48-years-old

The eight suspects were part of a group of suspects who robbed a G4S security vehicle of an undisclosed amount of cash.

“All the money has since been recovered and five firearms were confiscated. The ninth suspect was shot during a shootout with the police,” Mojapelo concluded.
