#WFD – Chicken Pasta Loaf with a Crisp Topping

POLOKWANE – This recipe by What’s for Dinner gives you the opportunity of cooking your pasta in a different way than simply boiling it and serving it.


  1. 800ml water
  2. 1 x KNORR Mince Mate Three Cheeses Flavour
  3. 500g chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  4. 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  5. 25g packet chicken flavoured crisps
  6. 60ml cheddar, grated


  1. Place the water in a saucepan, add the seasoning sachet and pasta and bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 min.
  2. Add the shredded chicken breast and allow to cool a little before stirring in the beaten eggs.
  3. Place the mixture into a greased loaf pan, then bake at 180°C for 20-30 min until firm.
  4. Turn out onto an ovenproof serving platter.
  5. Press chips over the top.
  6. Sprinkle with cheese and return to the oven until cheese melts (4-5 min).
  7. Cut into thick slices and serve with a chunky garden salad.
