LIMPOPO- Samuel Ricardo Bila (33) was denied bail by the Modjadjiskloof  Magistrate Court on 15 May 2017 on a charge of alleged fraud, after his arrest in Johannesburg on 11 May.

Hawks spokesperson, Captain Matimba Maluleke says Bila allegedly opened clothing accounts, in July 2012, at various shops in Limpopo and bought a car using the complainant’s name.

“The matter was reported to the Hawks who conducted an intensive investigation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect in Johannesburg on 11 May 2017,” Maluleke said.

The driver’s license issued in the names of the complainant was found in his possession during the arrest.

“Investigations into the matter continue and Bila’s case was postponed to 23 May 2017 for formal bail application,” Maluleke concluded.
