Zuma’s birthday hashtag is not what you think it is

POLOKWANE – When skimming through social media these days, the consensus is that majority of South Africans are upset about the current political situation in the country.

As the country continues to take part in national action with marches taking place in the capital city and other parts of South Africa, another way people get to share their opinions is by using social media and posting about relevant events and happenings.

On Wednesday, 12 April, instead of trending because of his 75th birthday, President Zuma’s name was in the top trending topics on twitter with the hashtag #WhyIHateZuma.
