Prehistoric vibes at the Dino expo

POLOKWANE – Dinosaurs roamed the earth for millions of years and these prehistoric lizards ranged in size from the size of a small hummingbird to giant creatures the size of a truck.

The Dino Expo took Polokwane by pre-historical storm when they launched their exhibit of the older-than-old dinosaurs in their Jurassic Park-like stage at the Polokwane showgrounds over the weekend.

Children and their parents could get lost in the extremely realistic artistically-landscaped captivating forest. The natural trees canopying a misty pathway helped blow up the imagination of visitors on what once was and what they all wanted to be again.

The life-sized moving pre-historic dinosaur display kept people gazing in admiration as they tried to get the perfect photo and videos with their newly found pre-historic friends.

After the walk the visitors were treated to more activities that included buying their own dinosaurs, digging for eggs and watching a realistic Dino at the rides.
Visitors had the opportunity to be photographed in and around a dinosaur or posing in one of its eggs, as well as having their faces painted in true Dino style.

Dave Huni, Spokesperson and one of the organisers of the Dino Expo, told Review that attendance at the show started off slowly but that it was picking very fast.

He said that overall the feedback was very positive. There were a lot of people who enjoyed the show and the Jurassic Park, while some enjoyed the rides and other activities.

It is a great opportunity for old and young to sharpen their knowledge of the creatures and get those all-time favourite pictures with the dinosaurs,” he said.
