#WFD – Chilli Chicken Dip

POLOKWANE – No party is complete without at least one dip and some chips.

Dips are used to add flavor or texture to a food, such as pita bread, dumplings, crackers, cut-up raw vegetables, fruits, seafood as well as cubed pieces of meat and cheese.

The following dip, found on What’s for Dinner‘s website includes chicken pieces, chilli and cheese making it the perfect accompaniment to tortilla chips, pita bread or potato chips.


  1. 15ml stork margarine
  2. 1 x red onion, chopped
  3. 1 x large jalapeno, chopped (seeded)
  4. 4 x plum tomatoes and blended, chopped
  5. 1 x KNORR Chicken Stock Pot
  6. 200ml cream cheese
  7. 2 x skinless chicken breasts, roasted and cut into cubes
  8. 200g cheddar cheese, grated
  9. 100g cream cheese
  10. 1 x green pepper, diced (seeded)


  1. Heat the Stork Margarine in a saucepan. Add the red onion and jalapeno and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes, until onions start to brown. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, add the blended tomatoes and Knorr Chicken Stock Pot. Heat gently for 3-4 minutes, until stock pot is dissolved. Add in the onion and jalapeno mix and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat until sauce starts to thicken.
  3. Stir in the chicken, cream cheese and Cheddar cheese and mix well.
  4. Spoon into a warm serving bowl and sprinkle with the diced green peppers.
