I have been working with Review for the past two years.

What is your role at the Review?

I am a junior journalist.

Describe a typical day for a Review journalist?

Usually each day is different, one day I will focus more on sport and soft news and other days more on hard news stories.

How do you deal with pressure?

Planning helps me to focus on specific stories at a time which helps with the pressure, but being a journalist, there is no real way of coping with the pressure, you just do the stories.

What it is like knowing that people read your articles on a weekly basis?

It is really satisfying, especially if you worked hard on the story. It is also a great feeling to get feedback from the readers, saying that they enjoyed your story.

Have you kept all your articles?

Not all of them but a couple that meant a lot to me, for example, my first front page and back page stories.

What was your favourite story that you’ve done?

What are some of the positive aspects about being a journalist?

You get to meet a lot of new and interesting people and you also attend a lot of great events.

What are some of the negative aspects?

Unfortunately, not all stories are good ones, sometimes you must cover things like murder cases, car accidents, but it all is worth it at the end.

Why did you decide to become a journalist?

As a small boy, I always enjoyed writing my dream was to become a famous writer one day and I realized that becoming a journalist will help me a lot with achieving that dream.
