POLOKWANE – “Water to all areas has been restored,” says Polokwane Municipality Spokesperson, Matshidiso Mothapo.

This follows some residents without water over the weekend, due to a storm in which lightning and hail struck several electrical switches at the Sand River Waterworks, leading to water shortages in the city.

Restoration comes after repairs on the pump station, that was hit by lightning, were finished and now that they are completed, water would be pumped to affected areas.

Mothapo urged residents who are still experiencing water problems to report it to the municipality through the following numbers: 0152902376/2457/2001/2002.
